Last Saturday, Stornoway came out and showed their support for the Palestinian people amid the ongoing genocide.

Organised by my friend Kathryn, who, as she celebrated her Daughter’s 8th birthday, saw an image of a child of similar age cradled in her mother’s arms, emaciated and barely holding onto life, burst into tears.

The tears turned to anger, and she made an FB event calling for solidarity to be shown in Stornoway, to put pressure on our local MP, Torcuil Crichton, to take more action over the standard email template we’ve been receiving as constituents over the past few months.

The images here show the wonderful folk of all ages who showed up in the July sunshine in support of Palestine.

The event has turned into a movement and the Western Isle for Palestine group has been set up this week.
