A guide to the Graphic Design services offered by the studio.

I craft bold & memorable brands and visual identities tailored to your audience.

Branding

A black disposable coffee cup with a teal lid and abstract teal patterns on the exterior.
Business card for Owen Williams with contact details, centered on a white background, flanked by patterned black and white designs on a dark green surface.
Person holding a yellow tote bag with a purple logo and text for the Outer Hebrides Climate Conference, Stornoway 2025.

I love to craft marks that beautifully distill your idea into an attractive graphic.

Logo Design

Stylized hockey puck and stick inside a circular design.
Stylized purple text style spelling 'SHUSH' with vertical lines and dots on a black background.
A graphic illustration of a stylized purple flower with a central stem and five petals.

Print Design

My first job was at a print production company, and I’ve loved the craft of paper products ever since. Whether on brochures, flyer or albums, I’ve got you covered.

Two colorful guidebooks about the Outer Hebrides displayed on white rectangular blocks, one titled 'Made in the Outer Hebrides' and the other 'Eat, Drink, Hebrides', against a pastel blue background.
A person holding a colorful flyer for Erich Rushton, an entertainer, featuring a photo of him sitting on a bench wearing glasses and a retro jacket. The flyer includes event details at Monkey Barrel, The Hive, from July 30th to August 24th at 15:20.
Colorful abstract art of three fish swimming through vertical blue and gray structures with bubbles and the word 'DÁNH' in the top right corner.

Campaign Design

I can work with marketing departments to not only execute the artwork but also strategise the direction of the campaign from the beginning.

Two brochures for HI-Scot credit union. The left brochure shows a girl and a dog outdoors with trees, titled 'Junior Savers Account.' The right brochure shows two people swimming, titled 'A Credit Union For You.'
Two framed posters on a brick wall. The left poster shows a scenic landscape with a mountain, green fields, water, and a partly cloudy sky, with the text "Reflected by our Island." The right poster features an elderly man with white hair and a serious expression, with the text "Reflected by our People." Both posters include the logo and contact information for Harris Tweed Hebrides.
A framed recruitment poster for Turning Point Scotland, featuring text asking if you want to deliver a parcel or support someone in need, with a photo of an adult and a young man working on a laptop, and colorful icons of boxes and raised hands.

This campaign for Turning Point Scotland won a ‘Creative Idea of the Year’ at the s1 Jobs Recruitment Awards.

FAQs

  • I work with all of the above! - If the project is interesting and we can agree on a budget that suits, no client is too small.

  • Timelines vary depending on scope and feedback turnaround. Typical projects range from four to six weeks. If you need a project completed sooner, we can look at a quicker turnaround. This will however affect the project cost.

  • Pricing is based on project scope, complexity, and timeline. I provide a fixed quote once requirements are confirmed.

Most projects are quoted at a fixed price. Hourly rates may be available for smaller or ongoing work.

  • Payments are structured in instalments. Usually, I expect a 50% deposit upfront with the remaining 50% invoice on receipt of the project deliverables. This structure can be tailored to your cashflow.
Invoices are payable by bank transfer, credit/debit card and Paypal.

  • I don’t put a set number of revisions in the project terms. I am confident in my process to deliver designs that are on or very near to the mark in the first instance. It’s largely a case of refining the designs from there, as a collaborative process between us. I am always more focussed on delivering the best solutions than watching the clock on a project.
If I feel revision requests aren’t serving the goals of the original brief, I will let you know and we can discuss at the time.

  • I have honed a process over the years that is tailored to meet your needs. The initial discovery call will help me establish not only the scope of the project but also your taste sensibilities, so I can align my solutions with your expectations. It is very unlikely that you won’t like the designs I create. But if I’m wider of the mark than expected, I can work to find a way back to a suitable path.

Ultimately, the process is a conversation; the more you bring to the table, the more aligned we will be with the results.

  • The short answer is ‘No.’

But like the subject in general, it’s complicated.

I use ‘assistive’ AI in some of the studio’s design software. These are helpful tools to speed up the design process and fix bits here and there.

But I avoid generative AI in my process, especially not in any final outcomes. Putting the ethical arguments aside, I find the images very inauthentic. My whole process is about finding a unique and authentic solution tailored to the brief, so it just doesn’t work.
