HebCelt 2025 Weekender

The festival date that has been imprinted on my mind since last October came up on me finally last weekend... and it was glorious!

Since the team at HebCelt appointed me to direct their visual identity for this year’s instalment, I’ve had the ‘16th - 19th July’ heavily circled in my calendar. It was the carrot at the end of the design process. A (hopefully) sunny weekend where I was to see my designs come to life across Stornoway as 1000s descend on the castle ground to soak up the 3 days of music.

It was a bit surreal when it arrived. Designs that I had last seen on my screen were now in full physical colour around the town and the festival site.

The pops of colour around the town was special. Seeing multitudes of kids in brightly coloured HebCelt tees made me smile. The team, as always, did an excellent job with marketing and communications for the week of the festival.

My family and I had a grand old time catching the music, too. LUSA were my surprise highlight of the weekend. Honourable mention to the Stornoway sunshine for making an appearance for some, if not all, of the festival.
