Making Harrison Makes
The artist and craft maker Chloe Harrison hired me to help her launch a new brand and website for her studio in Monymusk, Aberdeenshire.
She had been crafting and creating for many years and wanted to collate all of her various projects under a ‘Harrison Makes’ banner.

LOGO
The brand wordmark came from our discussions around having a very straightforward mark, but to have a slight irreverence to it. I chose a very straight Franklin font and experimented with different text variations until we found the right balance.
We explored various Logo icons. I really wanted a shorthand for the brand that linked Chloe’s love of nature and the quirkiness of some of her pieces.
‘Mr. Pigeon’ and his beady eye were used as her profile picture, so we settled on this vector version, complete with an animated blinking eye that would watch over the website.
BRAND ICONS
To expand on the brand assets, I aimed to create a suite of icons that would fill the web pages and give some of them a sketchbook feel.
I took some of Chloe’s sketches and inky doodles from her studio and made them into sharp graphics for use on the site.
WEBSITE
The final site brought all these elements together. The photography and brand assets populated danced around Chloe’s ethos and the power of her creativity.
